OKAY, WELL, HERE WE HAVE THE SPICY EGGPLANT WITH BEEF. THAT’S OUR AVOCADO CURRY WITH CHICKEN AND BROWN RICE. THIS IS OUR PAD THAI WITH SHRIMP. THAT’S OUR KHAO SOI. SO THAT’S A LOCAL NORTHERN THAILAND DISH. REALLY GOOD. THIS IS OUR BAMI KHAO SOUP. UM, THESE ARE WILD BLUE CRAB WONTONS WITH CREAM CHEESE. A GOOD APPETIZER THAT’S OUR MANGO WITH SWEET BLACK STICKY RICE. HERE’S OUR FRESH ROLL WITH TOFU. IT ALL LOOKS SO GOOD. AND YOU’RE GOING TO SHOW US HOW YOU MAKE YOUR PAPAYA SALAD. SO OF COURSE PAPAYAS ARE IN SEASON RIGHT NOW. YOU CAN GET A PAPAYA, BUT MAKE SURE YOU GET A GREEN PAPAYA, RIGHT? YES. SO TO MAKE IT, HOW DO YOU MAKE IT. SO I’M GOING TO I’M GOING TO LET THE PROFESSIONAL HERE. THIS IS CHEF ON. SHE’S GOING TO SHOW YOU GUYS HOW TO MAKE THE PAPAYA SALAD. SO AND I SEE SHE ALREADY GRATED THE GREEN PAPAYA. YEAH WE ALREADY HAVE THAT SHREDDED OVER THERE FOR YOU WITH SOME CARROT. SO I’LL LET YOU GO AHEAD AND DO HER THING. YOU’RE STARTING WITH THE GARLIC AND YOU ADD A LITTLE CHILI A LITTLE CHILI PEPPER. YEAH A LITTLE CHILI PEPPERS. RED HOT CHILI PEPPER. YEAH. SOME RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS. YOU CAN’T GO WRONG WITH THEM RIGHT. AND SHE’S JUST GOING TO KIND OF USE THAT PESTLE AND THE MORTAR TO LOOSEN THINGS UP AND GET THE JUICES GOING. AND THEN SHE’S GOING TO SLOWLY ADD THE OTHER INGREDIENTS IN UM, BUT FOR THE MAGIC OF TV, WE’RE GOING TO GO A LITTLE FASTER THAN NORMAL. OKAY. YEAH, YEAH, YEAH. SO YOU ADD A LITTLE SOME GREEN BEANS, WHICH IS INTERESTING. I LOVE THAT YOU’VE GOT THE WHOLE RAINBOW OF FLAVORS IN HERE. YES. AND THEY SAY IT’S GOOD FOR YOUR, UH, YOUR STOMACH TOO. YOU KNOW. ABSOLUTELY. WHAT’S IN THAT SAUCE THAT YOU JUST PUT IN? THAT’S A FISH SAUCE. OH, OKAY. WELL, WE CAN DO WITH FISH SAUCE. WE CAN DO WITHOUT FISH SAUCE. SOME SOME CUSTOMERS. SO SHE’S GOT SOME SHREDDED CARROTS IN THERE AND THEN THERE’S THE GREEN PAPAYA. YEAH. THAT SHE HAS SHREDDED. THEY’RE GOOD ENZYMES FOR YOU. GREAT FOR YOUR STOMACH AND YOUR GI TRACT. AND YOUR DIGESTION. YEAH DEFINITELY. THAT LOOKS AMAZING. MOM’S MADE THOUSANDS OF THESE. SHE IS VERY TALENTED. ALL RIGHT. AND THEN YOU JUST SCOOP IT OUT. YEAH. SO WE’RE GOING TO PUT IT ONTO A BED OF LETTUCE AND, UH, THAT LOOKS SO HEALTHY. FRESH AND LIGHT. AND IT TASTES REALLY GOOD. IT LOOKS DELICIOUS. ALL RIGHT. THAT IS YOUR GREEN PAPAYA.
